Win a £50 National Garden gift voucher with National Children’s Gardening Week

Are you ready to celebrate those little green fingers for National Children’s Gardening Week? This lovely giveaway will help you do just that!

I’m joining forces with National Children’s Gardening Week to give away a £50 National Garden Gift Voucher to one lucky reader. Read on to find out more and enter the competition.

What is National Children’s Gardening Week all about?

National Children’s Gardening Week is an annual event that usually takes place at the end of May. This year the dates are 28th May – 5th June.

It’s an opportunity to get kids inspired and enthused about gardening, with a programme of fun events, giveaways and news to explore. Families, schools and community groups can all join in, and there’s often something happening at your local garden centre too.

National Children’s Gardening Week also supports the fantastic Greenfingers charity, which provides wonderful gardens for children in hospices to enjoy.

You can find out more about National Children’s Gardening Week here. Make sure you’re following the facebook page too – there will be lots of fun ideas, resources and giveaways throughout the week.

Spread the word about this year’s schools competition!

This year there’s a brilliant schools competition to get involved with, in partnership with school gardening champion Lee Connelly, aka Skinny Jean Gardener. The challenge for schools is to grow and decorate as many grass caterpillars as they can, which is a fab kids gardening project that’s suitable for all ages. There’s a wonderful range of prizes on offer, including gardening equipment, gift vouchers and solitary beehives to help schools embrace gardening and take care of local wildlife. Perhaps you could encourage your local school to join in?

Great kids gardening projects
